Moonglow Garden Lights
Moonglow and other brands of solar-powered garden lights: Invest $2.00 more and get the durable ones with metal parts and glass over the solar panel. These lights usually use two rechargeable AA or AAA Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni MH) batteries. The batteries normally begin to give out after a year or so. If you find the light is not working as well after a year's time, try replacing the old rechargeable batteries with new ones. Make sure they are the same type. This should give new life to the garden light. While you are at it, wash off the solar panel and any other dirt with a damp cloth. If the lights get kicked over, the rain may cause them to short out. Simply bring them inside and let them dry out completely.
Unfortunately, these products seem to be made as disposable products, especially the cheaper ones. Consider investing a couple hundred in proper lighting for your garden instead.
