Incredibly cheap, how do they do it? These aren't very reliable, but what do you expect for under $100? Wave form is a modified square wave. These inverters do a great job in running small appliances like small kitchen devices and electronics like cell phone chargers and laptops. I really like the smaller units (less than 1000 watts). If you need to run power tools or charge batteries with a generator, get a real inverter. Good for small cabins with small budgets and small loads. These units are not UL listed for residential use. These units explode if you ground them properly so they are not for permanent installations.
