Outback Inverters
These are good units (should be for the price). It's obvious that years of work have gone into the design. Field serviceable!! Circuit boards made in house! Talk about radical departure from the rest of the electronics industry! I abused one for four years, running two households and blowing the two hundred fifty amp breaker on a regular basis with my table saw. I will be honest and say I've seen quite a few fried FET boards on the 12 volt models, but none on the 24 volt units. Outback's warranty service has always been great, i just wish i didn't need it so often. Output waveform is cleaner than the Magnum or SW units, but charger is weaker. The menu structure is definitely designed with the computer geek in mind. I wouldn't mind seeing a simplified display / control unit. Learning to turn it on and off is difficult enough for most people. Reading the manual is recommended.
